Last night was one of the most challenging shoots I have done so far. It involved location lighting equipment, reflectors, two garments (by designers, Leanna Westbury and Danielle Sykes), a mannequin, props, and a large crew of assistants. I am so thankful for all the help I that was given to me that night, I wouldn't have done it without my assistants!
Although it proved difficult, It was also very exciting in terms of night lighting and the results that were being produced. I was shooting on Digital and Medium Format.
This evenings shoot was part of my Femme Fatale project. It involved me directing my cameraman, Edward Piper and photographing stills myself. The apartment was available for only a few hours therefore time was on my side considering there were three outfit changes. What really inspired me with this piece in terms of the content was Ruby Rose's video, 'Break Free'. The moving image is still to be finished in terms of editing.
It was a good experience for me overall in terms of the use of creative lighting and colours, along with directing my model and cameraman, which required good communication.
